What you should know
- Bib pickup is at the pre-race expo; no race-day packet pickup for the marathon, half, or 50K — plan Friday or Saturday.
- Course has rolling hills through Swiss Avenue and White Rock Lake — not flat, pace conservatively in the first 10K.
- A 6-hour course time limit typically applies to the full marathon; trailing runners may be moved to sidewalks.
- Aid stations carry water and electrolyte every ~2 miles, but carry your own fuel — on-course gels are limited.
- December weather can swing; check forecast 48h out for wind off White Rock Lake and dress in removable layers.
