Pack this

  • Wetsuit (check legality), goggles, swim cap provided at check-in
  • Tri-suit, race belt, and timing chip on left ankle
  • Bike with fresh tubes/CO2, helmet (mandatory), cycling shoes
  • Run shoes, visor/cap, sunglasses, and 4-6 gels + salt tabs
  • Two 500ml bottles + electrolyte mix for the bike leg

What you should know

  • Wetsuit legality depends on water temp on race morning — have a non-wetsuit swim plan ready just in case.
  • Helmet must be buckled before unracking the bike in T1 and stay buckled until re-racked in T2 — DQ if not.
  • Drafting is not allowed on the bike; keep 12m between riders and pass within 25 seconds or face a penalty.
  • Mid-December mornings can dip near 12°C — bring throwaway layers for transition and warm gear in your post-race bag.
  • Bike check-in is the day before; review course cutoffs (swim ~1:10, bike ~5:30 from start) and aid station spacing.
