Set in the heart of Tropical North Queensland, IRONMAN Cairns (Cairns Airport IRONMAN Cairns) offers racing in paradise with a palm-tree lined, white sandy beach swim start, a completely closed coastal highway bike course with views of the Great Barrier Reef, and a flat, fun run course down the main strip of Cairns lined with cheering supporters. It is a 2027 IRONMAN World Championship Kona Qualifier and was voted #1 Best Race in Oceania in the 2024 IRONMAN Athletes' Choice Awards.
