The 42nd annual Lake Chabot Trail Challenge features a scenic, hilly half marathon loop mainly on dirt fire roads with ridge-line views of Lake Chabot, Mt. Diablo, and San Francisco Bay, plus a 5K out-and-back on mostly paved surfaces with gentle rolling hills. This race is well regarded amongst serious trail runners in the outlying areas.
