What you should know
- The course is flat and near sea level, so even pacing matters more than hill strategy. Don't go out too fast.
- Ocean-side stretches can bring a headwind. Tuck in behind a group to save energy on exposed sections.
- Early March mornings can start near 5-10°C and warm up to 15°C or more. Dress for mile 3, not the start line.
- Check the official site for the course time limit and road reopening times. Slower runners may be moved to sidewalks.
- Start and finish are at Pelicans Ballpark. Plan parking and arrive early, since the roads close before the gun.
