Pack this
- Handheld 500ml bottle plus electrolyte tabs for the warm 27°C start
- Photo ID and registration confirmation for bib and kit pickup
- Sweat-wicking singlet, cap or visor, and sunglasses
- Sunscreen SPF 50 applied 20 minutes before the start
- One gel or banana for the 10km, taken 30 minutes pre-race
What you should know
- Bib and kit are collected in advance at the expo, not on race morning — check the official pickup window.
- Warm humid conditions mean starting 15-20 seconds per km slower than goal pace and drinking at every station.
- Flat urban shopping-mall circuit on closed asphalt; watch curbs, speed bumps, and painted lines when damp.
- Corral placement follows your declared discipline, so line up with your 5km or 10km wave, not with friends.
- Stop and alert marshals or medical staff at once if you feel dizzy, stop sweating, or get chills in the heat.
