What you should know
- USAT rules apply: helmet must be buckled before unracking the bike and stay on until it's re-racked in T2.
- Wetsuit legality is decided at the swim start based on water temp; have a non-wetsuit plan ready.
- Body marking and timing chip pickup happen at packet pickup or race morning — arrive 60–75 min early.
- No drafting on the bike course; keep 3+ bike lengths unless actively passing within 15 seconds.
- June sun in Boise can push 24°C+ with high UV — pre-hydrate and apply sunscreen before the swim.
