Why this race

  • T100 Triathlon World Tour is a globally-televised PTO series, comparable in profile to Ironman 70.3 events
  • Qualifier for the T100 World Championships in Qatar
  • Doesn't fit existing taxonomy families (not Ironman, not WTCS); surfaces a taxonomy gap
  • Closed-road premium series racing in a major North American city

If you like Ironman 70.3 Vancouver or T100 London Triathlon, you'll like this one.

Pack this

  • Wetsuit (English Bay typically 16-19°C in August)
  • Tri suit, swim cap (provided), anti-fog goggles
  • Road bike + helmet, spare tube, CO2 inflator, multitool
  • Two 750ml bottles with electrolyte mix + 3-4 gels
  • Race belt, timing chip, photo ID for bib pickup

What you should know

  • Bib and chip pickup is in person the day before; bring photo ID and signed waiver. No race-morning packet pickup.
  • Body marking and bike check-in happen at transition. Helmet must be buckled before you touch your bike leaving T1.
  • Wetsuits are typically mandatory below 16°C and prohibited above 24.5°C for age groupers — check race-morning call.
  • Drafting is illegal on the 100km and Olympic bike legs — keep a 12m gap or complete a pass within 25 seconds.
  • Sunny coastal exposure means strong UV on the bike; apply sunscreen in T1 and expect afternoon sea-breeze headwinds.
